It has certainly been a while since Monica and/or I posted anything on our blog. I don't know about anyone else but this 'season' has been a strange one. Its been a season of change or more specifically, a feeling of a shift. It is difficult to write specifically but its the type of change you feel in your bones. The feeling of brokenness that is clinging onto your fibres, longing for a new breath of air.
Life brings us change in all forms. Just like the year ends, like the seasons change, often we don't know these changes are happening until the lessons have been learnt. How many of us are present, actually present during the times of potential growth? In the (short) time that Monica and I have known each other we have been witness to personal and professional growth. Since day one, we have been inseparable and it only made sense that we combined our passion, photography.
I had a feeling that this was just the beginning. In November 2019 Humanknd became HumanKnd Co. LLC. This is just the beginning for us, for HumanKnd. I flew over to Michigan in November to see my girl and also to capture eleven families in three days! Start as we mean to go on!
Our chosen location was Hart Tree Farm in Rockford. For me, this was postcard, picture perfection. This was definitely a pinch myself moment. I was doing what I loved, with my best friend, in the most incredible location. Monica and I would like to thank all the families that came out and braved the cold, snow and chose HumanKnd to capture your memories.
Being separated by 3800 miles is hard, especially around holidays but we make it work because its worth it. It is worth every single one of those miles.
